I made a quick supercut of multiplayer action to show how awesome the game is. It’s also very pretty, even on a laptop.

As someone who has been following VR for a couple years now, this is probably the game I’m most excited to play on the Rift/Vive. Paired with a HOTAS setup it really seems to be just about the perfect experience.

I’m shocked... It’s actually available on Mac. Well... i don’t have 8GB of free space so....... It’s not happening.

I don’t know how your specs compare to mine but with the game set as it is in the video I’m able to get 50fps.

Many tears are shed as I don’t fully meet the requirements.

I should have gotten a better computer.

Yeah. I have an Air. And its only benefit is that it’s light (and it’s not even that light). And there are laptops with the same price tag that have 8GB of RAM and 1TB hard drives and generally have better everything.

I’ve been playing around with a free program called FaceTrackNoIR that tracks your face via webcam to provide headlook in-game. It needs a shitload of tweaking to make it work smoothly but so far it’s promising.

I’ve played it at E3 and Game Dev, I was working and I always sneak over. I pre ordered a Rift so I will give it a shot myself when I get it.

To be fair, there’s absolutely nothing in the way of ports on this damn thing. So yes.... The video is quite accurate.

And here’s a laptop that’s better in every way and costs about what I paid for mine

Cries.

I paid $500 for this . Naturally the hard drive was immediately replaced with one of my own.

There’s a problem with your suggestion:

That looks pretty neat, although I’d imagine it feels a bit weird at first

The way it works is pretty cool. It maps your head movement to axis on a virtual joystick, and then the game sees it as if you had an actual joystick plugged in. The in-game headlook settings can then be programmed to use the joystick as input.
